Mandala - usually a circle shaped picture with a regular pattern and rhythm, that somehow resonates with us - is seen throughout human history across cultures and religions. It is used in meditations, therapies as well as relaxation exercises. We can view it as a reflection of the whole universe, never-ending growth if you may... but everything that is on the outside is reflected also on the inside and therefore we can view it also as an individual picture of our soul - the universe in each of us.
This is a relaxation pottery workshop, where we will leave common day thoughts behind and we will dive into the process of making a mandala on a plate. Step by step and stamp by stamp we will be looking for our structure and rhythm and imprint it into soft clay. And when done, we will dive into our picture once more with colour and leaf by leaf, line by line, dot by dot we will give our picture colour - life, if you may. The plate will be glazed and fired afterwards and ready for handover within 2-3 weeks time.
