This workshop will be dedicated to the loss of somebody close to us and it will offer you an opportunity to work through it by working with clay. We will try to let go of things that are meant to be gone and to accept what stays. This way we can create a cup dedicated to honor the person who left us and it will continue supporting us dealing with the loss.
I have been helping dying people for the last 4 years, in the last year I also work in a hospic and the topic of death is very close to me. I experienced losing a close person when I was young and was mourning for him quietly maybe too long... This is why I like to open this topic and I trust that cutting such a cup out of clay can be one of the things that help you as well.
And what happens in the workshop actually?
Supported by ceremonial cacao we will deep dive into the process of cutting, releasing and letting go. We will set our intention and allow the clay to guide us through the cutting process. This way, each cup is a result of true individual work and is absolutely unique.
At the workshop you will receive a pre-thrown cup that you will shape and decorate with various tools. There will be 2 cups for each person just in case you cut through one. All the cups will be glazed and fired afterwards and ready for pick up within 1 month the latest.
